In this class we're going to learn a new Fingerstyle progression each week! We'll cover the song/progression note for note, go over the techniques involved in the piece, learn how to put as much feeling as possible into your Fingerstyle playing, as well as cover the basic theory of the music we learn. This will be a very interactive class where you'll be able to ask questions on the fly and receive feedback on your playing real time. This is an INTERMEDIATE, pushing advanced class.

Learn a Fingerstyle Song in 60 Minutes

In this class we're going to learn the ENTIRE fretboard inside and out in the span of 20 weeks. This is a "no shortcut" approach to learning this instrument and if you put in the time, you'll never be confused on the fretboard again. I've taught this approach to many students over the years and the results are consistent. One of my students recently said that this approach took all the confusion and fog out of music, how it works and how he sees the fretboard. He continued saying it sparked so much more creativity and freedom in his music and guitar playing.
- We'll cover the essentials of music theory, the major scales up and down the neck, chord formulas, the CAGED system, *then the secret sauce: memorization of intervals within the CAGED system*. After that we'll cover the Harmonized Major Scale, and lastly ear training, finding melodies, bass notes, and chords by ear. At the end of this you'll have a truly deep understanding of how music works and the layout of the fretboard will be locked in for the rest of your life.
