Learn a step-by-step blueprint for playing, changing, and mastering barre chords. I will take all the frustration out of one of the most challenging aspects of beginner guitar. Throughout this class I gradually work you up to barre chords with an easy progression of exercises and techniques that build fret hand strength, stamina, and dexterity. And on the way to barre chord mastery I will teach you some barre chord subs so you no longer have to skip over the songs you love and want to play. You will also learn all about power chords, 5th chords, and pseudo barre chords. Also learn how to proficiently change barre chords like butter and play some popular songs with barre chords. Learn all kinds of barre chords like majors, minors, suspensions, 7th, minor 7th, major 7ths, and so much more – its an easy to follow step by step curriculum to mastering barre chords!

Barre Chords: The needed tricks and techniques

IN this section of the course I go over the technical aspects of playing barre chords like the proper fret hand techniques to make barre chords possible. Learn all the tricks and pro tips that will skyrocket your chord playing and changing to the next level.

Barre Chord Build Up - the preparation

In this section I will introduce you to chords that will get you fret hand in shape and have the necessary dexterity to play barre chords. These chords we will use as temporary subs for full on barre chords so you can continue to learn popular songs with barre chords in them. We will move through these chords in a step by step manner making barre chords more possible with each step.

Barre Chord Foundation

In this section we will start to use other chords that are similar to barre chords but easier to finger as guides to get one step closer to playing full on barre chords. These chords you will use often in your guitar journey and you will learn all kinds of exercises to get proficient at them and learn how to move them around on the neck effortlessly.

Barre Chord Exercises

In this section we drill down on some killer barre chord exercises that will get you super proficient at not only playing barre chords but also changing barre chords - first barre chord to barre chord then barre chord to open chords and vice versa. These exercises give you the needed practice to get super proficient at barre chords and barre chord changing.

Who you are
You should be able to play open chords and be able to change open chords to some degree. Basic cowboy chords like Em, Am, C, D, E, etc. Probably around mid level beginner ready to try barre chords or someone struggling to play or play and change barre chords.
What to bring
acoustic or electric guitar and a notebook or paper to jot down some notes
